The logistics giant Panattoni expands into the Region of Murcia with an operation of 75,000 sqm

The American logistics-industrial real estate developer, Panattoni, has already begun work on a new turnkey project in Alcantarilla (Region of Murcia), which will become the largest area promoted by the company in the Iberian Peninsula to date. This action will have a gross leasable area of 45,000 sqm, within a plot of 75,000 sqm. It will have two built-to-suit industrial plants of 20,500 sqm and 22,500 sqm, respectively, and an additional office area of 1,800 sqm. This development is planned into two phases, with expected delivery dates by mid and late 2022 for the two industrial buildings.

The company for which these facilities are being built will take advantage of this new logistics platform to centralize and consolidate all its operations in the Region of Murcia. Thus, the new platform will be the axis for all operations in the Region of Murcia and eastern Spain. The project will be developed in the industrial park of San Andrés in Alcantarilla, located just 7 kms away from Murcia city, next to the A-7 highway and two of the main road networks in the area, which provides direct access to the Mediterranean Corridor and thus allows to streamline the distribution to all the eastern area in Spain. This logistics park will have a total of 42 docks and large parking areas for vehicle operations, as well as LED lighting, electric chargers, photovoltaic energy supply and intelligent management through its Building Management System (BMS), recognised by the Breeam ‘Very Good’ sustainability certification.

San Andres Industrial Park also welcomed the arrival of the multinational PepsiCo with the new Alvalle factory in 2019.

At present, the civil works have already begun and the act of laying the first stone will be attended by the Regional Prime Minister, Fernando López Miras, on 8th November.
