Japanese NTT Data to hire 3,000 employees in Spain until March 2023

The Japanese company NTT Data, formerly Everis, a technology service provider, plans to increase its workforce with 3,000 new employees in Spain until next March and maintain a double-digit growth in its revenues.

In 2021 the company already added 2,000 employees, which means that the Japanese technology company has a workforce of 18,000 people in Spain of the total of 40,000 it has in Europe and Latin America, according to the data provided to EFE by Xavier Rovira, managing partner of NTT Data in Barcelona and responsible for Recruitment in Spain.

Rovira comes from Everis, which NTT Data has owned since 2014: “It’s one step further, but we are the same. We have changed green for blue,” he says.

NTT Data operates in 25 countries in Europe and Latin America and their office in Madrid is the largest one in the region, followed by Barcelona, where some 4,000 people currently work. They also have office in Murcia with more than 1.000 employees.

NTT Data has clients from very different sectors such as Banco Sabadell, Spanish Ministry for Home Affairs, SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital, SEAT or the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The director of NTT Data also points out that 30-40% of the employees profiles they are recruiting are young graduates from vocational training schools, for example graduates in web application development or knowledge in infrastructures.
